Elite Circuits Ltd was founded in 1989 in shared premises on a small industrial site in Bodiam, East Sussex. At the end of the first year, the Company moved to its own premises at its current address in Cranbrook. It started in Unit 5 on Courtlands Industrial Estate, and as the years passed by, Elite Circuits acquired Unit 4, then Unit 3, and then Unit 2. Units 2 to 4 are each about one third the floor area of Unit 5, so it doesn't take a mathematical genius to work out that the Company has doubled in size (area wise) since moving to Cranbrook.
All the units are interconnected. Unit Two houses the screenshop, Three the drill shop, Four the multilayer press, double-sided roving probe bare board tester, small meeting room and M.D's office, and Five the wet processing bay, inspection, photomech, front ending and two other offices.
At the time of writing (December 2005), the financial year April 2004 to March 2005 was agreeably profitable. This year has started most satisfactorily, and we now expect to better last year's performance. We certainly shan't chase board orders at silly prices just to try and increase turnover. Our strategy has always been based on looking for customers who value the quality and service we offer, and that is the course we shall continue to follow.
