Maintenance & Monitoring of Processes & Procedures
In Elite Circuits, the maintenance of procedures is allied to ISO 9001:2000 and monitored by BSI.The monitoring of processes is pursued according to the PPM doctrine of Planned Preventative Maintenance. This doctrine argues that if it can go wrong it will go wrong unless you monitor and check regularly enough to avoid such occurrences.
Inspection
Inspection is a mixture of visual, mechanical, and electrical/electronic.The visual inspections require skilled, dedicated personnel, all (at Elite Circuits, at least) having had production experience so they are intimately conversant with the procedures and processes involved in circuit manufacture and are aware of what each is required to achieve.Electrical testing is used to confirm the absence of shorts and opens in the circuitry. The tester is programmed using the customer’s manufacturing data, which enables a manufacturer’s guarantee of no board faults on the circuits produced to the design ordered, produced, and delivered.
Summary
Quality is a habit built on the foundations for the production of quality PCBs consisting of providing adequate training for the personnel involved, proper planning of each circuit order (front end engineering), the maintenance and monitoring of all the required processes and procedures, and the provision of the required levels of inspection. This facilitates the allied quality of ensuring that all orders received are delivered when promised
